We have to apply for OCI card. We got New Zealand passports back in 2005. What is the process to apply for OCI card? How much time does it take to get it?

Hi Rajnish, Thank you for your query. Before you apply for OCI card you must ensure that you have completed cancellation of your Indian passport and have renunciated Indian citizenship. Only after completing this process you can apply for OCI card. Complete procedure for applying for OCI Card is provided on our webpage (CLICK HERE). You can learn more about OCI card and cancellation of Indian passports from High Commission of India, Wellington's website link HERE. It normally takes around 30 working days for High Commission of India to decide on your application. Hope this would be of some help. Thanks.
