- Check if your country of citizenship is eligible for E-Visa Services;
- Check if your arrival airport/port in India is included in the eligible airports/ports for E-Visa;
- If you answer "YES" to above, then file your application on the Indian Government Portal for Application for E-Visa;
- Don't send your application to Indian High Commission;
- If you are "DOING IT YOURSELF" - Make sure that you are filing your application on Government of India website ending with "gov.in";
- If the website address is not ending with the words "gov.in", then that website is of some private company and not of Government of India E-Visa Portal;
- You need to upload your latest coloured photograph & copy of passport on the online portal;
- Pay the application fee on the Government portal by your International Credit/Debit Visa/Master Card;
- If you have done everything correct, you should receive your E-Visa or a Visa Decline email within 72 hours by email;

Not in Eligible Countries List For Indian E-Visa?
If you are a citizen of a country that is not in the above eligible list, then you need to apply for Indian Tourist Visa or other visas depending on the purpose of your visit to India. Such persons need to file their applications online, but then must download and print the online application and either personally deliver it or courier it to Indian High Commission with all required annexures & application fee by a banker's cheque. What is the Duration or Validity of Indian E-Visa?
Indian E-Visa for Tourist and Business purposes is currently valid for 365 days (1 Year) )from the date of issue of the Visa. This E-Visa is a multiple entry visa for 365 days (1 Year from the date of GRANT OF ETA). The E-MEDICAL Visa is a triple entry visa and is valid for only 60 Days from the date of first arrival in India. E-Conference Visa is valid for 30 days from the date of first arrival in India and is a single entry visa. INDIAN E-VISA IS NON-EXTENDABLE & NON-CONVERTIBLE. If you need to travel to India for more than 1 year for tourism and business purposes then you must apply for a regular Tourist Visa or Entry Visa (for persons of Indian origin).

How can we Extend E-Visa?
